Merz Dental was founded in 1999.

German healthcare company Merz operates internationally and has three subsidiaries - Merz Pharmaceuticals, Merz Consumer Care and Merz Dental. Merz UK, a subsidiary of Merz Pharmaceuticals, specialises in neurological and psychiatric conditions.

As well as dental health and hygiene products, Merz offers both prescription and over the counter drugs.

Products include:

artBloc Temp - this is PMMA-bloc which can be used for the temporary restorations of single crowns, bridge, partial restorations and immediate implant restorations.
artegral ImCrown - this prefabricated crown is constructed from plaque resistant dental material.
Artificial teeth - Merz sDental have developed a modern shape classification for teeth, reducing the entire spectrum of human tooth shapes to three basic ones - C, B and I. This system, patented and called the CBI system, makes it possible for dentists to imitate natural feminine and masculine teeth more accurately.
System set-up/TiF (total prosthetics in function) - this is a model analysis system which enables dental technicians to check the former positions of teeth against statically suitable load areas for denture bearing. Books, CD-ROMs, compasses, patient data sheets and laboratory checklists are all available from Merz.

Merz also offers the Promolux range of denture base materials; the Swiss Jet flask for injection, injection pressing moulding and casting; the PremEco Line Casting flask for rational production of resin prosthetics; Combitray tray materials and base trays; and the PremEco complete prosthetics system range.

In addition to this, they have a selection of disinfection and cleaning items as well as hand and skincare products.
