Ostenil has been developed specifically for the treatment of osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a degenerative joint disease that is extremely painful. It is an active disorder with a complex underlying pathology. Ostenil is a solution of hyaluron and is administered over 5 injections. Improvement can be expected to last for up to 6 months.
Viscoseal is a solution of hyaluraon designed to be used as a synovial fluid substitute following arthroscopic surgery or joint lavage. Is acts as a temporary substitute and in addition it displaces any irrigating solution left in the joint space, preventing this solution from impairing cartilage metabolism.
