And we've done it! Team Star has completed the Bath Half

Thousands of runners braved the cold and descended on the beautiful streets of Bath to run the Bath Half Marathon on Sunday 3rd March; amongst them, Team Star!

Team Captain Holly represented the medical devices and technology team, Pippa and Jon from med comms, Lucy and Ollie from pharma, Rich represented our Master Vendor team, Dave from contract and Laura from the support team. They were in high spirits before they started the 13.2 mile challenge as they posed for a team photo, despite the wintry conditions and nerves setting in.

11.00 am and our runners were off! Performers, bands and over 30,000 spectators lined the streets; the atmosphere was electric as supporters cheered and encouraged all of the 12,000 runners on.

Every member of Team Star was motivated, resilient and determined throughout, and still smiling at every stage of the course! And once they had crossed the finish line, received their medal and space blanket, there was only one place to go to celebrate...the pub! A well deserved drink for all.

We're incredibly proud to have been a part of the Bath Half Marathon, particularly as organisers of this year's event have declared it the best ever!

We'd like to say a huge well done and congratulations to Holly, Lucy, Dave, Laura, Rich, Ollie, Jon and Pippa for taking part in this tough challenge and thank you to everyone who's sponsored and supported Team Star during this journey.

Together we've raised an incredible £1,857.50 so far for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity. Sands support anyone affected by the death of a baby and promotes research and changes in practice that could help to reduce the loss of babies' lives, so anything we can do to help this cause is worth it.
