Over a decade ago, Star was Lucy and Tim, operating from Tim's living room in High Wycombe. Today, Star has one of the largest teams in its sector - and it's still growing - operating from offices in the South East and South West, with a network of affiliates and trusted suppliers nationwide. What started as a permanent recruitment provider for the pharma industry is now six influential business units providing an array of different resourcing solutions, across the pharma, healthcare, healthcare communications and clinical research markets. We're also members of The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC), The Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC), the ABPI and Wellards.
Persistent organic growth, particularly throughout turbulent economic times, involves a little luck admittedly, but mostly it's the consequence of hard work, skill, and innovation. They also have a natural aptitude for creative thinking, which they use to overcome the issues that leave others stumped. Every person on the team is motivated to succeed for the good of everyone, but also by a personal disinclination to fail their own extremely high standards.

We were also shortlisted for two Special Categories awards; this means that we were amongst the 6 highest performers across all categories - small, medium and large. The process has given us insight that will help us achieve 'Gold' status at our next 'Investors in People' review; last time, our assessor commended the excellent coaching our employees receive from inspiring role models and the way we've maintained the unique culture we value so much despite fast and continued growth. We rank within the top 3% highest performers of all participating organisations and plan to meet our target in the next 18 months.
